Since 2010, Baby Zone NYC has helped families feel informed, prepared, and confident as they navigate pregnancy, birth, feeding, sleep, and life with a new baby.
Our boutique team of experienced Registered Nurses combines evidence-based education with compassionate, personalized support. We believe there is no one “right” way to become a family or care for a baby. Our role is to meet you where you are, understand what matters to you, and give you the knowledge and confidence to make the choices that feel right for your family.

Dominique founded Baby Zone NYC in 2010 and has spent nearly two decades caring for families through pregnancy, birth, feeding, and the transition to parenthood. As a Registered Nurse specializing in maternal-child health and an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), she brings extensive clinical experience in Labor & Delivery, Mother/Baby care, lactation, and pediatric sleep to every family she supports.
Her approach is warm, practical, and deeply individualized. Dominique believes there is rarely one “right” way to care for a baby. Instead, she meets families where they are, listens to what matters most to them, and combines evidence-based guidance with real-world experience to help them make informed decisions and reach their own goals.
A mother of boy/girl twins, Dominique understands that becoming a parent is both extraordinary and overwhelming—and that sometimes the most valuable thing an expert can offer is the confidence to trust yourself.
Evelyn Sotomayor, RN

With more than 35 years of experience as a Pediatric Intensive Care Nurse, Evelyn has dedicated her career to caring for children and helping families feel prepared for the moments when knowing what to do matters most.
For more than 20 years, she has taught Infant and Child CPR to hundreds of parents and caregivers, combining extensive clinical experience with a calm, approachable teaching style. Her goal isn't to make families fearful of emergencies—it’s to give them the knowledge, practical skills, and confidence to respond when their child needs them.
Evelyn believes that preparation empowers parents. Her classes help families understand not only how to respond in an emergency, but how to create a safer environment for their children every day.
